Before use

  • Soak your laundry overnight in cold water.

  • Machine wash cold, without detergent. Your laundry will be free of all manufacturing additives, the colors will be stabilized, and the feel will be softer.

During use

  • Wash colours separately (whites, light and dark colours) and adjust the temperature accordingly (40° maximum for colours and 60° maximum for whites).

  • Wash all the items in your set at the same time to maintain the same shades.
  • When choosing a detergent, choose one that doesn't contain optical brighteners or bleaching agents, which tend to wash poorly and wear out colors. Today, there are many detergents that are environmentally friendly and gentle on your laundry.

  • To air dry, shake out your bedding and hang it up. Prolonged exposure to direct light will cause colors (including whites) to yellow.

  • For tumble drying, dry your set alone to limit unwanted creases.

  • Iron your laundry while it is still damp or use a filtered water spray to make ironing easier.

  • To remove certain creases, protect your dark colors or avoid shining delicate materials, use a damp cloth.

  • Washed cotton does not require ironing. It will be even more attractive with its iconic slightly wrinkled appearance.

After use

  • Fold your clean laundry.
  • Place it in a dry, ventilated place away from direct light to preserve its colors.

  • Add a little WOODEN wood to find your laundry delicately scented the next time you use it.

  • Slip your laundry into your La Chambre Française cotton packaging.
