1. A minimalist environment

It's time to declutter the bedroom, improve air circulation in the room and thus create a space conducive to relaxation, free of all constraints and visual pollution.

2. Suitable sheets

Whether washed, pure thread or combined with cotton, linen remains without a doubt the material of choice for withstanding heat. It is easy to care for, fluid and breathable. Forget duvets (even those called summer ones), prefer a light flat sheet that you can complement with a thin bedspread .
Bonus tip:
If the temperature is unbearable at night, place your folded flat sheet inside your pillowcase or your reusable La Chambre Française packaging. Place the set in the refrigerator during the day. Take it out before going to bed and fall asleep easily in the coolness of your sheets.

3. Hydration

During a heatwave, we always remember to drink plenty of fluids during the day. This advice also applies at night and helps reduce the discomfort caused by the stifling heat.
Keep a glass of cool water , a carafe, or a bottle handy by your bedside. If you have trouble falling asleep or wake up repeatedly during the night, drinking cool water lowers your body temperature and feels pleasantly refreshed.

4. The right pillow

A pillow that is too full will tend to trap heat. So in the summer, choose a firmer, less voluminous pillow .
When it comes to composition, we're banning synthetic materials. The ideal (and our favorite) option is the wool pillow : it adapts to all types of sleepers, as wool absorbs moisture and regulates body temperature wonderfully.

5. Ventilate during the night

Even if during a heatwave the temperature difference is not always noticeable at night, airing your room allows the air to be renewed .
We do not recommend using a fan; instead, consider creating air currents.
If you have sheer curtains (linen, hemp, cotton gauze, or other) on your windows, spray a little fresh water and your favorite bed spray on your drapes. A dual action that will deliver a pleasant sensation of subtly scented freshness to your room.
